REBUILT SCREWS
Although some situations require the use of a new screw, General Plastex rebuilds screws to such exact O.E.M. specifications that we warrant all rebuilt screws "same as new". Screw wear as slight as .030" can reduce production by as much as 55%. We can rebuild screws to such exacting standards that production time is eliminated! Plus, a rebuilt screw from us can save as much as 25-40% over the cost of new.
NEW BARRELS
General Plastex produces new barrels that equal or exceed the specifications of the machinery manufacturer. For example, BIMETALLIC ABRASION AND CORROSION RESISTANT, TOOL STEEL ABRASION RESISTANT AND NITRIDED LOW COST. Our Engineering Department is always prepared to help our customers evaluate the proper lining of materials for use with specific resins, additives and operating condistions.
REBUILT BARRELS
When rebuilding your barrel is the answer, we can help! Our Engineering Department will evaluate your operating conditions and recommend the approcriate materials. Our detailed process always insures top quality. General Plastex's rebuilding process includes re-machining mating surfaces, threaded holes, counter bores, transducer and thermocouple connectors.We also offer complete reline or partial as well as inventory of bimetallic & tool steel liners. Our statistical bore guage analyzer assures quality of the rebuilt barrel equal of or to exceed that of new. |

DOWNSIZING
If your application requires a smaller shot size, General Plastex has the ability to downsize your injection molding machine. This does NOT require the replacement of the hydraulics or power supply, thereby eliminating the expense of replacing the unit.
