General Plastex produces new Injection Molding and Extrusion barrels that equal or exceed the specifications of the machinery manufacturer. Barrels include: Bimetallic Abrasion and Corrosion Resistant Barrels, Tool Steel Abrasion Resistant Barrels and Low Cost Nitrided Barrels. Our Engineering Department is always prepared to help our customers evaluate the proper lining of materials for use with specific resins, additives and operating conditions.
When rebuilding your barrel is the answer, we can help! Our Engineering Department will evaluate your operating conditions and recommend the approriate materials. Our detailed process always insures top quality. General Plastex's rebuilding process includes re-machining mating surfaces, threaded holes, counter bores, transducer and thermocouple connectors. We also offer complete or partial relining as well as an inventory of bimetallic & tool steel liners. Our statistical bore gauge analyzer assures rebuilt barrel quality equal to or exceeding new barrel quality.
